Educational Qualification
- Should have passed Senior Secondary (10+2) with Science and Biology as one of the subjects from a recognized board/university.
- Should possess a Diploma in Ophthalmic Assistant from a recognized university or institution.

- General: 18–37 years
- Relaxation:
- SC/BC: +5 years
- PH (Disabled): +10 years
- Ex-Servicemen: Service period deduction +3 years
- Government employees (Punjab/State/Central): up to 45 years
- Widows/Divorcees/Women of certain categories: up to 42 years
Knowledge of Punjabi
- Must have passed Matriculation with Punjabi as a compulsory or elective subject.
- War heroes and their dependents, or wards of Defence personnel (Punjab residents), get certain exemptions with conditions.
📄 Other Key Terms
- Reservation as per Punjab Govt. policy.
- Certificates (SC/BC/EWS/ESM/Sports etc.) must follow Punjab Govt. format.
- Only candidates scoring minimum 33% in the written test will qualify.
- Equal marks → elder candidate preferred.
- Higher qualification → no extra weightage.
- No TA/DA for test or counselling.
- Separate application and fee for multiple posts.
- Only recognized institutions’ degrees will be accepted.
- Candidate must be an Indian citizen (or eligible categories per Govt. norms).
