1. Setup

1. Measure Distance: Hold the screen exactly **40 cm (16 inches)** away from your eyes. This is crucial for the test simulation to be accurate.
2. Cover One Eye: Test each eye separately, ensuring you cover the other eye completely.
3. Wear Correction: If you use reading glasses or contact lenses, wear them during the test.

2. Interpreting Results

Read down the chart until you can no longer comfortably distinguish the letters on a line.

• If you can read the **N2 / 20/20** line, you have excellent near vision.
• If you can only read the **N8 / 20/100** line, your near vision is significantly reduced.
